Brian Lister built 48 Lister Knobbly and Lister Costin cars, 32 were Jaguar powered and 16 Chevrolet powered. Dean Van Lines sponsored the Indianapolis 500 races in the 1950’s and individually several single seater race cars but this was the only sports car to carry the livery. It is also the only Lister to have worn sponsor logo in period and as such the only one today permitted by the FIA to carry sponsors logo.

Raced between 1958 and 1960 throughout US and then retired until 1969 when it was sold to Dr Jonathan Evans who enlisted Brian Lister to help restore the car and then actively campaigned the car until retiring it in 2008. He sold the car at auction in 2011 and the current owner, Roberto Giordanelli has raced the car at all the premier events including Goodwood Revival where the car is a regular entrant.

It is stunningly presented and comprehensively engineered and comes with a spares package as well as UK road registration and FIA HTP papers until 2024
